Job Duty
- Work with a diverse group of students and parents at various socioeconomic levels to help them successfully navigate the education system in the U.S.
- Contact and meet prospective students and families regularly, support them through all phases of academic guidance and personal development during their studies in the U.S.
- college admission process, including managing expectations and goals
- Follow-up with applicants via phone and email about application documents
- Present workshops and online lectures on a full spectrum of educational topics
- Recruit prospective students by promoting the program at corporate, educational and transfer fair
- Engage prospective students via phone, email, and in-person on a continual basis to build relationships between the student and the company
- Organize and schedule visits for our students to various colleges, universities, as well as corporate partnerships
- Interact in a professional manner with a variety of professional contacts and key influencers in various colleges and universities
Job Requirements
- Master’s degree (required)
- Former college or university admissions officer (required);
- 2 plus years of experience in selective college admissions (required); college counseling experience a plus
- Passion for education and a commitment to increasing education access for a broad constituency of students and parents
- Confident presence, strong relationship building skills, and a professional manner
- Creative, strategic thinking
- Excellent organization and prioritization, customer service, oral/written communication, interpersonal, public relations and presentation skills
- High degree of accuracy and integrity
- Great time management and organization abilities
- Patience and flexibility
- Work well in a collaborative, team oriented environment
- Comfort level with technology, including Microsoft Office and internet research
- Superior presentation skills in both large group and individual settings
- Willing and able to work weekends and evenings when needed
- Effectively manage multiple projects and follow through to completion
